Call for Bids - Home Delivered Meals The Prairie County Commissioners hereby invite sealed bids for Home Delivered Meals Preparation for (Meals on Wheels) service to the elderly. Services will cover the contract period beginning July 1st , 2026 ending June 30, 2027. Meals served must be acceptable to the elderly consumer and meet 1/3 RDA. Noon meals will be served Monday through Friday, including holidays. The following meal pattern is required: meat or meat alternate - 3 edible ounces; vegetables 1 serving – (1 cup leafy greens or ½ cup = 1 serving); fruit 1 serving (½ cup or 1 piece = 1 serving); grains - 1 serving (1/2cup or 1 oz - include whole grains); milk or dairy equiv- alent- 1 serving (1 cup serving size). The caterer shall review menus and recipes with a dietician to comply with meal pattern require- ments, and to address the requirements of special diet restrictions such as diabetic or low-sodium. The caterer is responsible for following all safety and sanitation regulations as established by the State of Montana. The caterer is responsible for paying all costs of food, supplies, labor and other costs as necessary in providing the meals (except for carts and insulated transfer boxes) and for limited client management.
