INVITATION TO BIDSealed Bids for Bid No. 06-25-26-02, "Downtown Danbury Streetscape Renaissance Project: Phase 2b (Main St. (North – East), Post Office Walk, & White St.)”, Danbury, CT, City Project No. 18-13 will be received at Danbury City Hall, Purchasing Agent's office, 155 Deer Hill Ave., Danbury, CT 06810 until 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 21, 2026. Prior to the public opening of the bids, any bid submitted may be withdrawn by the bidder if said bidder discovers mathematical or clerical errors in his bid. Any such bid withdrawal may be made without penalty or prejudice. After the bids are opened, all offers will be considered firm for a period of ninety (90) days, and no bid may be withdrawn for any reason during that period except for such cause as the City of Danbury, in its sole discretion, deems sufficient.The work includes all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary to construct Phase 2b of the Downtown Danbury Streetscape Renaissance Project (Main St. (North – East), Post Office Walk, & White St.). This encompasses a section of Main Street (Route 53), north – east side from 241 -251 Main Street, station 15+57 to 331 Main Street, station 26+00 (including median island), Post Office Walk, and White Street section (between Main Street and Ives Street).The scope of work includes the removal and disposal of existing streetscape and landscaping elements and the installation of new streetscape features. These include, but are not limited to: sidewalks, crosswalks, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible curb ramps, landscaping, street furniture, parking meter kiosks, replacing and resetting of the existing granite curb and adding bituminous patching in limited areas, new driveway aprons, rebuilding/replacing existing catch basins and replacing some of the catch basins tops, removing and rebuilding handicap ramp and steps, resetting gas and water valves, resetting other utility manholes and handholes covers, incidental work associated with sign
