The Texas Department of Agriculture is seeking bids for janitorial services at its Metrology Laboratory in Giddings, Texas. The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is soliciting bids for janitorial services at its Metrology Laboratory located at 1258 County Road 226, Giddings, Texas, 78942. Weekly tasks include vacuuming, sweeping, dust mopping, emptying and cleaning trash cans, polishing conference tables, dusting window seals and glass, cleaning light switches, disinfecting bathroom sinks and toilets, refilling paper towel dispensers, and cleaning kitchen countertops, appliances, and sinks. Monthly tasks include cleaning the inside of large windows using a ladder and dusting light fixtures in office areas, hallways, copy rooms, break rooms, and conference rooms (excluding front lobby fixtures). No cleaning of employee desktops, computers, or equipment is permitted. Work must not be performed during laboratory business hours (7:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Thursday; 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday), except on federal, state, or agency holidays. Brooms, mops, and mop buckets are available in the Janitor’s Closet. The contractor must furnish all labor, cleaning supplies, materials, and equipment. The contract may be renewed for up to three additional one-year periods at TDA’s sole discretion. Bidders must submit Exhibits A, B (optional), C, D, E, F, H, I, J, K (N/A), L, N, and O. The bid must be submitted electronically in PDF or Microsoft Office format. The contractor must submit invoices electronically to [email available with Pro] or by mail to P.O. Box 12847, Austin, TX 78711-2847, within 30 days of delivery. The contractor is responsible for all costs associated with the bid response and performance. TDA reserves the right to amend the solicitation at any time prior to award. The contractor must comply with all state laws and regulations, including the Texas Public Information Act, which may result in public disclosure of submitted information.
