Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Each bid must be made using the forms provided in the contract documents and shall be accompanied by a bank or certified check or a bid bond payable to the Elmira Water Board in the amount of 5% of the total bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract if the project is awarded to the contractor. If upon acceptance of the bid, a bidder fails to enter into a contract with the Elmira Water Board, the bank or certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to and become the property of the Elmira Water Board. Prevailing wage rates shall be as determined by the New York State Department of Labor PRC#: 2026015596. A complete set of bid specifications may be reviewed at the office of the Elmira Water Board at 261 West Water Street, Elmira, New York.
