Georgia DOT is seeking to contract with a Design-Builder to provide services necessary to design and construct two new US 278 grade-separated overpass bridges to provide sufficient vertical and horizontal clearance for future, planned spur tracks connecting CSX railroad with the economic development site. The completed project will provide two reconstructed lanes (one in each direction) along US 278/SR 12 between East Hightower Trail and West Dixie Highway near the Walton County line. Reconstruction of the intersections is not anticipated to be included in the project (the Project). This Project will be awarded to a Design-Builder utilizing a Two-Phase Low-Bid selection method. A Design-Builder includes a Lead Contractor and a Lead Design Consultant working together to design and construct the project.
