The City of Austin is soliciting quotes for a 25 kVA pole-type distribution transformer, 240-480V, with two bushings. The item must meet or exceed City of Austin specifications. The City is exempt from federal and state sales tax; therefore, tax must not be included in the quoted price. All quotes must be submitted on FOB Destination basis, with all freight charges included in the item price. The City will not accept shipments made by C.O.D. The City may change or revise any content through a written addendum. Oral explanations or instructions are not binding. Offerors must submit questions in writing via email to Christopher Gorski. The City may request financial information to determine creditworthiness. The City reserves the right to terminate the contract at any time for any reason, including convenience. Delivery is time-sensitive; failure to deliver on time may result in cancellation, rejection, or purchase of substitute goods. The City will not be billed at prices higher than stated unless authorized in writing. The Contractor warrants that goods and services will conform to specifications, be merchantable, fit for purpose, of best quality and workmanship, and free from defects. The City may inspect and reject defective goods or require re-performance. The Contractor is an independent contractor and responsible for all employees, including payment of all federal, state, and local taxes and contributions. The Contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental laws.
