Project details

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is seeking bids for a lump sum subcontract for signage work at the Acosta Operations Center, located at 410 Charles E. Young Drive West, Westwood, CA. Work will occur in an occupied building with restricted hours; noise-producing activities may require night or weekend work. The project is part of a renovation of 2,738 gross square feet at the ground floor of the Acosta Training Center, which includes demolition of six vacant offices (2,321 assignable square feet), new interior partitions, doors, flooring, ceilings, wall finishes, and modifications to mechanical, electrical, fire sprinkler, and fire alarm systems. The project requires compliance with Title 24, ADA, and accessibility standards. A dedicated mechanical system for server heat loads and a double-interlock pre-action fire sprinkler system will be installed. Fiber optic cabling for a dedicated broadcast network will be routed through existing ITS conduit, with new conduit added at the Morgan Center and Los Angeles Tennis Center. The project must achieve minimum LEED-ID+C certification. The estimated construction cost is $34,600.00. The successful bidder will be required to pay prevailing wage (UC Fair Wage) and comply with all federal, state, and local labor standards.
