Kennedy Township is accepting sealed bids for the sale of our street sweeper. The Sweeper is on a 1996 Ford Chassis with a Cummins Deisel Engine. GVW 32,000 lbs with airbrakes. Current miles are 8,352 which will increase vehicle is still in use. Chassis has no hour meter. Dual steering option. A/C does not work and rear right tires have slow leak. Sweeper side has a John Deere Diesel Engine. Hours read 557 which will increase as vehicle is still in use. Sweeper model is a Elgine Crosswind series GE. 7.5 Cubic yard Hooper. Sweeper is controlled by a Intell touch control panel. Sweeper does work but has a few problems but is still usable. Some water valves stick and nozzles need cleaned. Hooper dump cylinder leaks seal needs rebuilt. Broom brush cylinder has minor leaks. Passenger side broom worn and needs replaced. Sweeper has rear hose for basin cleaning. Water washout connector available but needed new hose and gun. Pickup broom motor has small leak. Pick up head curtains worn and needs replaced. Truck is currently inspected until May 2027. Truck is still in use and works with current problems. Vehicle has always been garage kept and inside and outside is in excellent condition. Truck is being sold as is no warranties.
