(First Published in the Lawrence Daily Journal-World on the 1st of May, 2026) CITY OF LINWOOD RESOLUTION # 2-2026 AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF LINWOOD, KANSAS. WHEREAS, the City of Linwood, Kansas is the owner of certain real property located at: Lot numbered Fourteen (14) in Block numbered One (1), Highland Addition to Linwood, Leavenworth County, State of Kansas; also known as 306 Main Street, Linwood, Kansas; and WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City, has determined that the Property is no longer necessary or required for municipal purposes and is considered surplus property; and WHEREAS, the City desires to sell the Property in accordance with the laws of the State of Kansas and the City’s current policies. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF LINWOOD, KANSAS: 1. The City Council hereby declares the Property described above as surplus and authorizes its sale. 2. The City Manager and/or Mayor are hereby authorized to sell the Property for a minimum price of one hundred and fifty-thousand dollars ($150,000). 3. The City Manager and/or Mayor are authorized to execute any and all documents, including deeds and purchase agreements, necessary to complete the sale of the Property. 4. This resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption. 5. Sealed bids must be dropped off to Linwood City Hall located at 215 Park starting May 11th, 2026. All bids must be turned in by 5 p.m. on June 15th, 2026 Published in Lawrence Journal-World (Douglas County) on 2026-05-01.
