Project details

The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is seeking to continue the long-term lease of an existing modular building located at DPS Austin Headquarters, 5805 Guadalupe St., Austin, TX 78752. This solicitation is advertised under Texas Government Code § 2155.067 as sole source or proprietary. DPS will only consider responses that conform exactly to the solicitation. However, all qualified vendors are encouraged to respond. DPS may extend performance for up to six months after the contract term for re-advertising or transition purposes. No changes to terms or pricing will be allowed after the Date of Award. Contract continuation is subject to funding availability. The building dimensions are approximately 60 feet wide by 60 feet long. Interior finishes include Type X drywall, commercial-grade linoleum and carpeting, moisture-resistant flooring in restrooms, and anti-static ESD VCT flooring in the telecom room. Walls will be insulated, and storage closets will have shelves. Walls will be painted with Sherwin-Williams "Sand Dollar" (SW6099) semi-gloss latex paint. Standard areas will have 8'-0" AFF acoustic ceilings, while restrooms, telecom, and mechanical rooms will have hard ceilings. Cove base will be Roppe Brown Rubber #110. Trim color will be approved by TXDPS. Contractor is responsible for all repairs and maintenance, including wall, ceiling, and floor surfaces; foundation repair and mold remediation; interior and exterior painting; window glass and shade repair; roof and ceiling leak repair; and maintenance of building exterior, interior, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and ventilating equipment. In-person responses are not accepted.
