Respondents shall submit a bid bond and associated Power of Attorney for the TMD in the sum of not less than 5% of the proposal base amount of the proposal. No other form of security will be accepted. The bid bond must be submitted with Attachment A – Contractor's Proposal Form.

Respondents must deliver or have delivered the Proposal, with all required documents, to the TMD no later than 10:00 AM CT on Tuesday, March 2, 2027. Any Proposal received after the specified date and time will not be considered under any circumstances and will be returned to the Respondent unopened. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at Camp Mabry Bldg. 37 Conference Room at 10:05 AM Tuesday, March 2, 2027, CT. Reference Section III, 1) Schedule of Events.

Project details

The General Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor, coordination, and supervisory activities necessary to complete construction of the project. This project is part of the STAR program and will renovate an approximate 144,458 SF facility. The estimated construction budget for the services described in the Request for Proposal (RFP) is an estimated Proposal Base of Twenty-Nine Million Dollars ($29,000,000.00) with estimated Proposal Options of Nine Hundred Seventy Thousand ($970,000.00). General Contractors must request Drawings/Plans and Specifications electronically in digital format via email to [email available with Pro]. General Contractors MUST attend one (1) of the three (3) MANDATORY site visits: December 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM CT; December 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM CT; or December 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM CT, at 2200 West 35th Street, Austin, Texas, 78703. Failure to have an employee or authorized representative attend one of the three mandatory site visits will result in disqualification of the Proposal. The site visits are public events; subcontractors are welcome to attend and network with prospective General Contractors. Competitive Sealed Proposals for TMD26-CFMO-0046265 will be received by the TMD until 10:00 AM CT, Tuesday, March 2, 2027.
