The City of Fort Myers is seeking a qualified and responsible progressive design-build team to provide design, permitting, and construction services for expanding the capacity of the potable water supply wellfield. The project includes, but is not limited to, siting, design, and construction of potable water wells, raw water transmission main, and fiber optic communication network. In addition to construction, rehabilitation of existing assets shall be performed. A resource management protocol shall be developed integrating the use of new wells with existing wells. The project will include tasks and activities such as, but not limited to, engineering, design, survey, technical specifications, permitting, inspection and funding support necessary to construct the wellfield expansion. The design-builder is required to comply with all other construction methods for this work, including those to minimize noise, dust, and other impacts to surrounding residential neighborhoods. The design and construction services rendered by the design-builder shall result in a complete, functional, and operable project. The project includes the following main elements: Provide a detailed project execution plan indicating how the process expansion will occur without negative impact to existing facility operations.
