NEW HANOVER COUNTY REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS RECYCLING AND SOLID WASTE DEPARTMENT SOLID WASTE CONSULTING SERVICES RFQ # 26-0348 New Hanover County, located in southeastern North Carolina, is soliciting qualicationS submittals from consultant engineering ?rms to provide professional solid waste consulting services in support of the Recycling and Solid Waste Department and specially the County Landfill, which is regulated under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Subtitle D. Specic work to be addressed includes, but is not limited to, analysis of existing services and infrastructure; effectiveness of waste diversion and recycling efforts; opportunities for expanded waste diversion and recycling efforts, and assistance in preparation of a Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit selected initiatives. The overall purpose of this Request for Quali?cations (RFQ) and subsequent RFP is to extend and preserve the capacity of its Subtitle D Land?ll on a meaningful scale.
