The Project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary for restoration construction of driveways or specialty paving locations damaged as part of underground repairs or new installations done by Department forces. The driveway restoration shall include driveways constructed with asphalt, pavers, turf blocks, reinforced concrete, stamped concrete and other specialty driveways. Specialty paving areas include spot repairs on roadways with decorative pavers at intersections or traffic circles. The driveway and specialty pavement restorations shall be at different locations anywhere within the limits of Miami-Dade County, Florida, as ordered by the Department during the contract period. The work includes, but shall not be limited to, removal and restoration of existing driveways damaged by Department forces; restoration of roadway decorative specialty paving locations; demolition work to include legal disposal of existing debris; furnishing and installing lime rock, sand, formwork, concrete, reinforcing materials, paint and finishes; placing and compacting backfill; saw cut joints; removal of any tree roots and debris; forming; pouring and finishing new concrete; furnishing missing or broken pavers or specialty driveway material to match existing; furnishing and installing colored wear resistant finished were required; constructing the approach to match the existing driveway; and all other miscellaneous and appurtenant items necessary to perform a complete restoration. Bid submission must be electronic, through the Trimble Unity Construct (eBuilder) Bid Portal, with a hard copy sent to WASD postmarked within one (1) business day of the bid submittal date, mailed to WASD [3071 SW 38th Avenue, Suite 107, Miami, FL 33146] The original Bid Security (in the form of a bid bond or cashier’s check) MUST be delivered to WASD, at the address above, BEFORE the bids are opened.
