This project includes the restoration of approximately 1400 feet of Peoples Creek and roughly 6 acres of its associated floodplain. The majority of work is performed on the Peoples Creek Dairy property (Project Partner). There is work inside the Peoples Creek Ordinary High Water Mark. The following work elements are summarized below, separated by the Engineer’s assumptions on schedule, means and methods: Construction Plans are provided as Appendix D. Work Performed includes: •Clearing and grubbing, including tree salvage and invasive species removal as needed. •Site preparation; temporary erosion and sediment controls, water management, and temporary access and staging areas. •Culvert removal and installation of a prefabricated concrete bridge; •Controls structure removal and utility relocation; Installation of a new protective controls shed •Floodplain excavation and short haul; •Installation of large wood structures, including pile driving for anchoring structures. •Floodplain berm construction, farm pad extension and farm pad grading and soil compaction; and •Site and property restoration; temporary erosion control seed mix, roadside cleanup, project closeout. •Installation of coir wrap live stake stabilized embankments This list is not exhaustive, and the Contractor shall refer to the proposal schedule, special provisions, and Contract Plans for a description of the work to be performed and requirements. The contractor is responsible for work sequencing and efficiently and timely completing the work. With the except of Temporary Erosion Control seeding, Planting shall be performed by the Tribe.
