Project details

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNSY) is seeking to lease one electric-powered Low Pressure Air Compressor (LPAC) system with a nominal flow rate of 400 SCFM and a maximum system pressure of 125 PSIG. The system will be used for establishing a Tool Air system and includes a dedicated compressor with controls, pressure regulator, storage tank, air dryer, distribution manifold, and compressed air hoses, all integrated into a single unit (trailer-mounted units are not permitted). The compressor must be 100% oil-free, air-cooled, enclosed in a weatherproof enclosure for outdoor use (-10°F to 110°F ambient), and UL listed. Electrical requirements are 460 VAC, 3 Phase, 60 Hz, with a maximum starting amperage of 400A and operating amperage of 200A, requiring a 400A rated Camlock connector. The system includes a 500-gallon ASME-rated air receiving tank (150 PSIG minimum working pressure) and a 400 CFM desiccant air dryer with a -40°F PDP dew point. The system requires 250 FT of 3-inch non-collapsible pneumatic rubber hose with safety cables and MxF SPUD connections, and a distribution manifold with one 3-inch flow-through output and at least four 1 1/4-inch branch outputs with isolation valves.
