Project Description The services include preparation of construction contract plans for upgrading and expanding the city's coordinated traffic signal system at approximately 34 signalized intersections within the City of Lima. The core design intent is to implement a radio-based interconnect system that establishes communication between local controllers and the advanced traffic management system, TACTICS. In addition, the project looks to expand network coverage along signalized corridors, update coordinated signal timing and upgrade pedestrian facilities to PROWAG-compatible equipment. It is the intent to design intersections within phases 1-3 of the study as a single construction contract plan set. Construction funding has not been committed at this time. Construction may need to be phased to match available funding that can be obtained.
