INVITATION TO BID BID DATE: Monday, July 3,2026 at 2:00 PM ET PROJECT: Volusia Sheriffs Office Headquarters Wharton-Smith, Inc., was awarded the Volusia Sheriff's Office Headquarters and is requesting a 60% Design Development Early Procurement Bids from prequalified subcontractors for procurement of Early Site, Structural and Long Lead Equipment. The project is a greenfield job on 15.66 acres and consists of a 2 story (minimum) 56,000 SF Risk Category IV, tilt-wall, Administration building with parking for roughly 230 vehicles and will house the following Sheriff's Departments: Administration, Finance, Law Enforcement, Records & UCR, Special Investigations Sections, HR, IT Investigative Services (crime scene, fingerprinting, labs), and Officer Patrol with Sally Port and Temporary Evidence Storage. The anticipated overall construction duration is 15 months with a mobilization expected to occur Sept. 2026 and substantial completion Dec. 2027.
