The City of Dayton seeks a qualified interior landscaping contractor to maintain live plants and holiday decorations at Dayton International Airport (DAY) and Wright Brothers Airport (MGY). The contractor must perform weekly maintenance including watering, fertilizing, pruning, pest control, cleaning, and plant replacement. All plants and materials are to be supplied and leased by the vendor. The contractor must employ staff with horticulture expertise and provide two SIDS-badged employees. A mandatory site visit is required on November 12, 2026. The contractor must maintain $1M general liability, $1M auto liability, $500K employers’ liability, $1M professional liability, $1M errors and omissions, and workers’ compensation insurance. The City will not award a contract to any firm in default or with pending litigation.

Project details

The contractor must supply and lease all plants, containers, and materials. Holiday decorations must be installed by the 5th day after Thanksgiving and removed by January 6, with maintenance throughout the season. The City reserves the right to reject any proposal or waive irregularities.
