NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids, from qualified bidders, will be received by Purchasing at their office in the Administrative Services Finance Department located on the fifth floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue Suite 503, Bellingham, Washington 98225 for the following. Sale OF SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSE AT 2096 VALLEY HWY UNTIL: 2:30 PM, Tuesday, June 16, 2026 At which time and place the bids will be opened live/virtual via Zoom and read aloud. All bidders and other interested parties are invited to attend the live opening via Zoom. Late submittals will not be considered. Whatcom County reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive any irregularities. This bid is to sell surplus personal property, a single-family house, located at 2096 Valley Highway, Acme, Washington (Whatcom County Tax Parcel Number 370508 043518 0000), hereinafter called the “House”, excluding the underlying real estate. Minimum bid $500.00 (Five hundred dollars and no cents) QUALIFIED BIDDERS: Bidders for this House must show evidence that they own or control real property located outside of a frequently flooded or geohazard area to where they can legally relocate the house. Acceptance of the evidence will be at the discretion of Whatcom County. It will be the responsibility of the successful bidder purchasing the structure to obtain all applicable, necessary, and proper permits for moving the structure off the real property. The moving company or mover must be a licensed contractor in the State of Washington, bonded and insured.
