Repairs can be performed at county facilities or the contractor's site. Contractors must use OEM-certified technicians and parts, and all work requires prior written county approval. The County intends to establish a contract for the procurement of service repairs and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts for fleet equipment. Service repair requests may be performed at County facility locations or the contractor’s facility. The County requires that all contractors provide OEM-certified trained technicians to perform all requested service repairs. The County requiresthat all installed or procured parts be of OEM specifications. All parts and services need to be covered by Original Equipment Manufacturer warranty. Any additional repairs not included in the original quote must be identified and approved prior to being performed. All invoices must itemize repairs and match the approved quote. While working at County facilities, the contractor is required to maintain a safe and environmentally controlled workspace while at any county facility. The contractor is responsible for all cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials after all service repairs. The procurement of OEM parts is intended to maintain fleet equipment in factory-new operating condition. It is also the intent not to jeopardize any factory warranty with the replacement of non-Original Equipment Manufacturer parts.
