Montgomery County is seeking a vendor to provide refuse and recycling collection services for over 400 county facilities across Maryland. The contract will be divided into two zones, with detailed container and pickup information provided in a separate list. Services include the collection and transport of trash and dual-stream recyclables.
The Department of General Services (DGS) through its Division of Facilities Management (DFM) oversees the maintenance of 400+ County-owned and County-leased facilities. DGS’ intent is to retain a Contractor to provide refuse and recycling collection services for various County Facilities. Montgomery County, Maryland intends to establish a contract with a qualified vendor(s) for the purpose of providing collection and transport of refuse (trash) and pre-sorted recyclable materials (commingled materials and mixed paper/cardboard) from various County facilities in Montgomery County as specified in the solicitation/schedule sheets. It is intended that recyclable materials collected from all County facilities are collected and transported to a designated recycling processing facility via a dual stream recycling program.
