The City of Sherman is seeking a qualified mechanical/HVAC contractor for on-call services. Work includes installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, pumps, motors, fans, compressors, and mechanical piping systems (steam, chilled water, condenser water, domestic water). The contractor must perform welding, soldering, and troubleshooting of steam traps and pressure-reducing valves. All work must comply with building, mechanical, and plumbing codes. The contractor must respond within 2 hours during business hours, 24 hours outside business hours, and provide a diagnostic fee for non-apparent issues. The contract is annual with up to four 1-year renewal options. The contract is subject to annual funding approval and may be terminated if funds are not approved in the next fiscal year.
